Been switching back and forth between this and Walden. Tonight, reading in the very long line at Trader Joe's, I was thinking "I should be reading Walden." And not a page later -- on my grandmother's grave -- Herr Samsa began speaking to the composer about Walden.

Am needing a break from all the nonfiction; no longer have a proper lamp bedside so couldn't turn back to Dr. Olaf last night; was reminded yesterday I've been meaning to read Marc Estrin, and found Insect Dreams in the Fictionwise store. So started into it last night. Turns out to be a great double-feature with Olaf.
