Daniel Abraham creates a fascinating world/society herein and it's good enough to stand up (thus far) for three iterations of a quartet. The fourth volume is due out next year. Highly recommended.

Turned the last page tonight on this satisfying read. Sarah, I'll be sending it your way; it think it could be a cuppa for you.

There's a science fiction book that has been making the rounds at Readerville. It's unusual because it's multi-authored AND it's very good indeed (and, boy howdy, is that rare). It's "Hunter's Run" by George R.R. Martin (a well known and often tasty entity), Gardner Dozois and Daniel Abraham. The latter two writers are new to me so I poked around sufficiently that I thought I ought to try one of Abraham's books. I'm close to the end of dame now and very impressed and delighted to have scored a writer new to me who has a couple more books in waiting and, with any luck, more to come. This one is mighty damn tasty.
