I think my uncle gave me this for my 18th birthday. I dragged it off the bookcase again to reread a couple of weeks ago, after the RV discussion on cats in books.
It's very short, the story of a ginger cat with an indomitable spirit, who loses one foreleg completely and most of the use of the other in an accident at an early age and yet goes on against these odds to lead a fulfilled and happy life.
